Watch my Story….

The adventure begins….stepping off the plane in Palma Mallorca Spain April 2010 I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but was excited to be starting the journey.

On my first weekend off with a little time to explore, I was lucky to meet a lovely Italian who took me on a  moped scooter in Barcelona Spain and then let me drive. My first time was a little shaky, almost sideswiped a few cars, but still had a blast.

In Bonifacio Corsica (which is an island in France) I came across the staircase of King Aragon while I was wandering around on my break. According to legend,  187 steps were carved into the steep cliffside to help the king escape during the seige in 1420. I made it down very quickly…but as always coming up was the hard part.

Northern Ireland (Near Giants Causeway)

Some good old Irish folk music ( I had a little crush on the flute player)

One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been part of…the torchlight procession in Edinburgh Scotland which is part of the Hogmany and New Years Festival. The evening ends with bagpipers and a fabulous firewords display.

Exploring the caves under the city of Budapest. Some of the holes and caves were quite difficult to manuever through, but enough squeezing and wriggling and eventually you come out. Glad I’m not claustrophobic!!

My first deep sea dive ever was in the beautiful Red Sea. I’m hooked!! Such a peaceful and happy feeling and you really do forget about everything on land in that moment.
